Man, I can’t believe that it’s the last day of 2008. Crazy.

We had a pretty  good year:

We did more events in 2008 then ever before. I’m guessing double 2007. Expect a slightly less rigorous schedule in ’09. All that travel was hard.

I started TINY ARMY, our local illustration activist group. We’ve met monthly, and had a great time.

I managed to also destroy TINYARMY.com, as well.

We got a button machine, and made LOADS of buttons. Lot’s of success on that front.

We launched the Monster Commute comic, and have really enjoyed creating it every day. It’s been tough, but so far we’ve not missed an episode. I’m starting to feel in touch with the Monstruniverse, which is cool.

We redesigned SteamCrow.com a bunch of times, and even found time to build and launch www.monstercommute.com too. Yikes.

We got our first billboard, too. That was a cool surprise.

We probably accomplished a few more things that I don’t really remember right now. It’s okay. I focus more on the future than the past.

What’s in store for 2009?

I don’t have too many firm plans.

We’re going to do 5 major conventions this year… Phoenix Comicon, WonderCon, Emerald City Comicon, San Diego Comicon, and APE.

We look forward to doing our first Monster Commute book in ’09. Cross those fingers.

I want to continue creating and improving the Monster Commute, and learning more about Monstru. I’ve got to figure out how to get more of the world into the comic.

SteamCrow.com will be adjusted to be our hub and portfolio site. I’ve pretty much retired most of our other websites, and intend to keep focused on the ‘Commute.

I’ve got a couple other secret projects that I don’t want to talk too much about until I’ve actually started to create them. I’m full of ideas, among other things, though I don’t have enough time to accomplish them all.

Thanks

Thanks for being part of our success this year, and reading/writing/talking/sharing what we do. If all goes well, maybe we’ll have a chance to chat with you next year.

Beastio!
