You probably already saw the videos, but I’ve got a couple copies of Monster Commute here in my grubby little hands. (Tiny, clawed hands, if you must ask.)
Overall, it’s surreal having it here. It usually takes me a good month or more to get used to a new book. I’m all excited about it, but also kind of afraid to look at it, just in case I find some horrible mistake. YEEK!
With this particular book, it’s strange to see the webcomic in print. It’s all the same work, but with more texture and sharpness to it. The colors in print are surprisingly bright as well. I didn’t expect Beastio’s red to be quite so perfect, but it is. It just feels right.
The book itself is broad, a lot larger than anything else booklike that I’ve ever managed to make. It’s heavier too. I’m probably going to have to send a few to figure out the postage situation.
Which reminds me that I need to register the ISBN number. No, no, it has a real one. I have 10 that are all mine. (5 are now used up.) But, when you use one you have to register it and tell them what the book is, who made it, and how much it costs. That’s next for my list. Damn, dirty lists.
Anyway, it’s time for me to play with the goblin boy, so I’ll be back tomorrow for another exciting and wonderfunkin’ blog post.
Til then, Patriot!
Daniel
