KlawBerry Book

KlawBerry is the story of the cutest little monster girl, who goes on a quest through a dangerous monster world. “Good Girl, Bad World” is the way that we like to describe it. Klawberry is 48 pages, and is lushly illustrated and written by Daniel m. Davis, with the help of Dawna Davis.

The story is inspired by ancient mythology, Grimm Brothers fairytales, and folk stories from Africa, Europe, and India, all mashed together like a spicy red curry. It’s about a monster girl who finds strength and power in herself, as she makes a journey across the world. Grrlpower, literally.

The artwork is a mashup of Kawaii goodness, Saturday morning cartoons, and happy mascots from Japanese and American candy wrappers, ran through a goth filter. Inspired by Art Nouveau, toy design, and classic illustrated books, we wanted KlawBerry to look both fresh and modern, but as if you found it in a very old book.
