Favorite soundtrack music to make Monster Commute to:
- Amelie
- Beats Antique (not a soundtrack, but could be)
- 300
- Alice in Wonderland (Danny Elfman)
- Sherlock Holmes
- King Kong
- District 9
- Dark Knight
- Inception Soundtrack (Intense x4, I can’t listen to it much.)
- 10,000 BC (Better than the movie)
Others that I don’t like so much:
- Avatar (Too goofy)
- The Road (Kind of intense… but good.) But for some reason, I can’t work to it.
Basically, I need music to get me awake and rolling early in the morning. However, it can’t have words/singing, since I’m also writing dialog, and that doesn’t work so well.
What are you listening to, when you work?

YES!
Toni Oni is cute, I’ll miss him when the iron boot of Lincolnstein crushes the aether out of him…
…no I wont.
Nobody understands poor Toni Oni. He’s a lonely guy, with all of that money, and those delicious (ERM) delightful kittens.
I listen to soundtracks a lot while working, lately the following have been in my rotation:
Gattaca – Michael Nyman
The Fountain, Requiem For A Dream, Moon – all by Clint Mansell
Other stuff you might want to check out:
Sigur Ros, Boards of Canada, and Burial – not instrumental, but almost.
RJD2 – he has a series of instrumental albums.
Well, with my Doberman Pinschers named Neo and Trinity I am a huge fan of the Matrix. The soundtracks are sans vocals and are very intense. The music that appeals to my classical lobe, drop your sensors on this awesome way to enjoy the Foo Fighters during the business day:

I listen to Japanese soundtracks – there are words, but I don’t understand Japanese, so no problem!
Which are your top 3 Japanese soundtracks?
Are you talking like anime soundtracks? J-pop? Wha?
Mainly the Paprika soundtrack (by Susumu Hirasawa), but also a few odds and ends from various anime (It’s not so easy to get Japanese music if you’re not in Japan so my library is a bit small) – There’s just something about lively upbeat Japanese soundtracks that manages to force me from my slothfulness and actually draw stuff.
