Monster Commute – a Traffic Novel

The AUTHORITY (the dark government from Monster Commute) is spreading their propaganda posters like wildfire. It’s up to us to stop them.

Be a rebel, and deface their propaganda. QUESTION AUTHORITY!

Winners will receive free propaganda poster(s).

Question the Authority

How this will work:

1. Download one (or all) of the free AUTHORITY propaganda posters (pdf)
2. Print it out on your color printer (B/W is fine too). (Heck, rasterbate it!)
3. Hang it somewhere conspicuous.
4. Deface the print – with spraypaint, crayons, ink, stickers, pencils (whatever!), to make a political statement against the AUTHORITY*.
5. Photograph your handiwork.
6. Post the image on your website**: blog/facebook/DA/Flickr/LJ/MySpace/whatever, also LINKING to www.monstercommute.com.
7. Send me a link to your image. (Remember, the better/clearer your photo, the better I can judge your entry)

**The message is up to you. The more in context to the Monster Commute story, the better. Be creative. Have fun.

*If you don’t have a way to put an image online, sign up for Flickr and post it there; it’s free.

Prize:

The most interesting/fun/creative/revolutionary print picked by Daniel Davis (based entirely on his subjective authoritarian viewpoint) will win a set of 3 signed 12×18 propaganda art prints, of far better quality than the free versions. Steam Crow will also pay shipping, so there is no hidden cost to pay. (Other than the cost of paper, toner, and your rebellious creativity.)

Second Place will win two (2) 12×18 propaganda prints. (Yep, and we pay shipping.)

Third Place will recieve one (1) 12×18 propaganda print. (Un huh. Shipping is handled by us.)

3 prizes, with a total value of $120! Heck, that’s pretty cool!

Due:

The contest ends at midnight (PST) on Tuesday, April 7th. (You’ve got to send me a link to your entry by then.) Winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 8th, and winners prizes will be sent within 2 weeks of receiving your mailing address.

Enter as many times as you’d like. No purchase necessary.

If this contest is somehow illegal in your region, please do not play. Please don’t use profanity; I’m not a prude, but this is an all-ages gig. Profane entries will have to be discarded. Don’t break the law in any way; this contest is against an imaginary government, not government of the USA or any other “real” gov.

Winners agree to allow me to use the photos of their entries on our websites, for free promotional use. (With credit of course)
