Hi Guys -
I just got back from SDCC (which was great) to a rather hot house.
The it’s-105-outside-and-it’s-95-inside-of-the-house kind of arrival.
Long story short: we just spent $16,000 on air conditioners!
Yay!
To add to the situation, we just spent 4 hrs with the tech/salesman, which was 4 hrs I needed to finish up this rather epic history-chart.
I feel like I’ve failed you just a little bit, but I’ve already spent a good 30 hrs on this one strip… and it’s not THAT important to the new story.
I’ve got a solid buffer of UnSun done, but this one I’ve had to keep getting back to, to finish.
It has been an epic amount of effort, but I really like it.
Someday, I’ll finish it.
For now, I hope you like it.
Time to sleep. I only have to work in my 95+ degree studio for 2 more days.
YAY!
- Daniel

Wow Daniel, this is incredibly well done.Great job illustrating the story, very clear and comical.
Thanks!
I’ve been working on it for like 3+ weeks, and it was due today.
Welcome back, I’m sorry to hear about your air conditioner! The flow-chart style “the story so far” is epic, I hope you can finish it someday! I hope SDCC went well!
Yeah, SDCC went really well. However, I’m neigh exhausted.
I need a couple of full nights sleep to recover. (Hopefully I’ll get one soon.)
Wow. That’s a lot of story (so far). I like your little “outside the box” comments.
(If you die of heat exhaustion we will get no more story. So please, do what you need to do to not die. Thank you.)
Thanks, E!
I’ve got to survive the heat for the next 2 days.
There’s nothing like a succinct plot synopsis…
This is a prime example of such, it’s definitely nothing like succinct.
More taxis!
More Klawberry!
You’ll get more KlawBerry for certain, in time… and a taxi is bound to happen anytime.
Very nicely done! The rhythm kind of reminds me of the Stevie Washington cartoons (which is to say, poetic).
And I can totally empathize about the AC, ours went out this Sunday. We bought a window unit for $150 and retreated to our bedroom.
This is really superb work. Crank that AC before you overheat from exhaustion/awesomeness.
Dan,
That was awesome. Well done.
Don’t let the heat goblins suck the life out of you… Summon the Swirling Winter Howler with your majik!!
Wow! That was one awesome strip, Daniel!! Impressive stuff!!!
Hope the house is cooling down a little. Looking forward to the new storyline
This is so much cooler than the already pretty cool thing I was imagining in my head! I hope you plan to make the completed chart into some kind of insane print!
This is quite the epic recap sir, nothing short of amazing.
Wow that was epic!
Wow, 16k on air conditioners? Is that getting central air put in or one of those Mr. Slim systems put in?
Flow chart looks fantastic so far!
Amazing ‘the story so far…’ post, sir!
I’d say this was an amazing recap, but that’s been said several times over…
So I’ll mention that hey, with the Fate RPG this is almost a one page, ready to run with, setting and pre-genned character list.
I think, “Probably not sentient” is my favorite item on there.
I’m building my Monster Commute RPG in FUDGE, which is a close neighbor to Fate. I’m hoping to use this graphical technique to help make CharGen and Combat more clear in the book.
Why does no one ask who Creatu are?
I think it’s because everyone “knows” from all of the constant radio broadcasts that CREATU is the enemy state that wants to devour MONSTRU, and everything that it stands for.
CREATU is a lie.
