I’ve really enjoyed beginning to layer in more and more mythology and depth into the world of Monstru.
Once I switched from gag-a-day, it’s felt more true to what I want to do, and also has really allowed me to riff on different aspects of the world without a guilt. As I’ve moved ahead, I’m becoming more and more interested in this setting… I consider it my own personal OZ.
An important part of this is the Monstru Library project.
Basically, it’s a behind-the-scenes series of mini-articles about different aspects of Monstru; people, places, culture, businesses, etc.. I am a long-time world builder, so this type of work is in my bones.
If you don’t care about the history or peoples of Monstru; no problem. The strip should still make total sense to you.
But, if want to learn more about what’s going on, you can always peruse the Library to get that something extra.
I only have time right now to maybe write one entry per week, but I expect this to grow over time, and become a resource to help me remember this stuff.

In a hurry to go somewhere they dont know how to get to? Been there!
Deep world of complication is good, very good indeed – but please don’t loose the gag a day too much, its what brought me here
