Some places be good, and some places be bad. But then, some places just be damned.

After the great plagues of the last Era, citizens and soldiers alike began the difficult reconstruction of life and order. The dead were burnt and the living dead were driven out beyond the borders of the cities.

But the city of Skullopolis remained in darkness, for there was no one left alive, an no one willing to resettle there. An endless storm churned over the city, letting forth a low moan that attracted the walking dead to the old city.

In time, Skullopolis was repopulated with all manner of unliving, and is now the capital of the dead.
