This week, we’ve lent our comic making wheel to Nate O’Brien, comic enthusiast and head honcho of the Spokane Comicon. As you probably know, Spokane is my homeland, and Nate is keeping things great there while we’re away.
Nate is a super-positive guy, the kind of person that I really like to surround myself with (even though CrowBots and Feratu are not real). His smile and demeanor is contagious and I’m really glad to know him.
Plus, I think you’re going to like what he’s serving up this week.

MC: What’s your name, Patriot?
NO: Nathan O’Brien
MC: You on the webnets? Where exactly?
NO: You bet your sweet Muzz I am.

MC: What is your car like? Is it fast/dirty/broken/armored (choose one)?
NO: Always dirty…even in the rain.
MC: Do you have a monster commute? How many miles?
NO: Yes, I carpool. Only about 5 miles.
MC: Hate to Drive or Drive to Hate?
NO: Depends on the time of year or moon.
MC: What is better: Pie or Cake?
NO: Pie, baby, pie.
MC: Pie does seem to be a popular choice. I mean, you’ve got apple, you’ve got pot pies, right?
MC: How did you get roped into this “comics business” anyway?
NO: I am also the founder and coordinator of the Spokane Comicon in Spokane, WA….so I guess I like comics and art.
MC: Which Monster Commute character is the most like YOU? Why is that?
NO: Definitely Beastio. I am older than I look, and act like a child.
MC: What’s next for you?
NO: Continue to create new art that I can be proud of and continue to do more cons.
MC: Anything you wanna pimp?
NO: I just opened up my first Etsy shop for prints.
MC: How would you fight a CrowBot?
NO: I’d fight dirty all the way. I’d pull a Marty McFly “What’s that?!” and point, then kick the Crow Bot in the Junk. Does a Crow Bot have Junk? I might be in trouble.
MC: You part of the AUTHORITY of the secret Factory Rebellion?
NO: The first rule of the Secret Factory Rebellion is that you don’t talk about the Secret Factory Rebellion.

Daniel (ME!) takes over again with Monster Commute next week! No more lies! I (the Daniel in question) have been making comics too, trying to build up my buffer so that I can survive San Diego Comic-Con without missing comics.
