Things Not in Monstru

Sure, Monstru is a lot like Earth. (Well, Earth in maybe 1918.)

Monstru has cars and stores, iconic brands and bad dictators. But, Earth and Monstru are not exactly the same. There are a lot of things that are different.

Monstru doesn’t have:

  • Guns (not invented yet)
  • Birds (extinct)
  • Gasoline
  • Dinosaurs
  • Elves, dwarves, or halflings. (Never did)
  • Humans (Well, not very many)
  • Horses (All devoured)
  • Jets (But probably tri-planes)
  • Telephones (Walkie Talkie radios are the closest thing.)
  • Television
  • Computers (Well, Clockworks are babbage engine mechanical computers.)
  • Books (Most were ruined in the Great Book Plague, but a few exist.)

Monstru does have:

  • Furnace goblins (Meh. Nobody cares about them.)
  • Lawless trolls (Feared, dangerous folk)
  • The Bloodless (undead races that get little respect)
  • Steam driven motorcars (not autos)
  • Deep Rigs (motorcar mecha)
  • Newspapers (Monstru World News)
  • Dirigibles (ghost gasses inside)
  • Monsters of various sorts and sizes.
  • A vast and impressive highways system (that is totally falling apart)
  • Majik (Illegal but not uncommon mystic system)
  • Warlocks and Witches (Please register at the nearest Celebration Hall.)
  • Mechanical beings (Mechan)
  • Road bandits
  • Mechanical Police-Soldiers (CrowBots)
  • The Authority (Big government)
