I think that mustaches are just a little funny.
Many of my favorite people have mustaches, and no, I don’t think that they’re silly looking, or worthy of respect. It’s just that mustaches themselves are a little comical. Especially on me.
I’m pretty sure that this is generational.
I blame Tom Selleck.
Growing up on all of those 80′s shows, Mr. Selleck always was sporting one mustache or another… and he was fairly loath to lose it, lest it would destroy his career.
Perhaps the mustache itself was the power behind this actor? Who can really say? Tom’s not talking.
Now, when I was developing the Troll Jazz DJ character, something wasn’t right. He seemed pretty good, but I didn’t really like him, until he had his very own mustache himself. After that, I knew it was dang dandy right.
I must admit that I currently have a mustache, though it is connected to a beard.
I usually call mine “weird beards”, but that’s just me.
