I used to want to live in a castle.

No, I don’t have a lot of sense. I think that we’ve established that. I guess I fancied myself to be somebody like Sting, or Bono, or somebody from Hogwarts. How embarrassing.

Today, I just want a simple life, one with less overhead than required to maintain a castle and and estate.

I’d like to visit a real castle, that’s for certain, but I would much rather have the freedom to create art and stories and spend time with my family and people.

Sometimes people ask me what I’d do with a million dollars. Really, it wouldn’t be that much different than today; I’d make comics/stories/art, I’d offer our stuff in the store, and I’d exhibit at a lot of shows. Sure, I’d have a bunch more time to do it, and I’d have a lot more time to spend with my family.

Instead of waiting for someone to hand me a big sack o’ money, I’m attempting to build that little empire, here and now. I’d rather not hope for luck to achieve my goals.

I think that in life, it’s important to know what you want.

What do you want?
