I used to want to live in a castle.
No, I don’t have a lot of sense. I think that we’ve established that. I guess I fancied myself to be somebody like Sting, or Bono, or somebody from Hogwarts. How embarrassing.
Today, I just want a simple life, one with less overhead than required to maintain a castle and and estate.
I’d like to visit a real castle, that’s for certain, but I would much rather have the freedom to create art and stories and spend time with my family and people.
Sometimes people ask me what I’d do with a million dollars. Really, it wouldn’t be that much different than today; I’d make comics/stories/art, I’d offer our stuff in the store, and I’d exhibit at a lot of shows. Sure, I’d have a bunch more time to do it, and I’d have a lot more time to spend with my family.
Instead of waiting for someone to hand me a big sack o’ money, I’m attempting to build that little empire, here and now. I’d rather not hope for luck to achieve my goals.
I think that in life, it’s important to know what you want.
What do you want?
- Daniel

Well said! That’s pretty much where we are, too. We are putting as much energy as possible into the comic so we can travel around and do shows and perhaps make some money, too. Our ultimate dream is to make a living off the comic. Dunno if we’ll get there, but we’re gonna try! – Angela
To want is to wish. To wish is to dream.
How can a being become his dreams without folly?
At what point do we want no more and reach complacency?
If a man were measured by his family, friends and his dogs, I would be wealthy.
Watching the odometer gain miles is a complete bonus!
Balance.
I really love Monster Commute, Daniel, I recommend it to all of my friends! What do I want? My dream would be to one day create a character (or characters) that would live on past my lifetime…to have a character that is as fondly remembered as Charlie Brown Or Popeye, to be that would be the ultimate success! –Mike

Castles are overrated, personally I’d be quite happy with a cabin on some wooded lands where I can legally shot anyone that sets foot on it without my permission.
I’d like to live in the Council of Doom’s headquarters. It looks like Darth Vader’s head, and it can fly! Or maybe a condo.
I meant LEGION of Doom headquarters!
