This Saturday, I’m a guest at the 3rd annual Spokane Comicon.
It should be good fun, and a chance to see some of my old friends and my hometown.
Today’s strip is a version of the exclusive print that I’ll be selling there, that measures 12×18 inches, and is a limited edition of 40. This is one of the most exclusive prints I’ve ever done, so I hope that they move fast. ($20)
I’ll also be doing a Webcomics panel there, so that should be fun.
I hope to see you there.
“Spokane” is always being mispronounced as “spokain” so I thought that I’d name the Monstru version of my hometown as “Spookain.” I kinda like the “spooky” name version, anyway.
Of note:
- Spokane was originally named “Spokane Falls”
- The Spokane Comicon is being held at Spokane Falls Community College
- The print depicts the Monroe Street bridge
- There is a Suction Goat sculpture not too far from the bridge, somewhere in Riverfront park
If you’re new here, feel free to follow me on Twitter, and/or sign up for our Secret Newsletter there on the left.

I’m proud that you found it, Jay!
This looks sweet. I assume you’ll be doing one for SDCC?
I’ve applied to do the vintage Monster Commute movie poster, as one. We’ll see. Been waiting for approval for almost 8 weeks now.
Thanks for coming back to Spokompton. You are always welcome! Hope you have a good trip home. Cheers!!
Thanks, Nate.
It was great being back in Spokane again, and seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Thank you for the opportunity to be there.
