So, my wife Dawna really likes mints.

No, nothing awkward or crazy about it… but she has been carrying Mentos mints around with her ever since we bought that big case of them from Costco a while back.

The funny thing about the mints is that our son requests them now, when he’s hungry. Now, I don’t know how you were raised, but I was raised with the idea that mints are not food. They’re candy, but not really good for meals.

My 6 year old disagrees with this assumption, and feels that if he’s hungry, a big wad of mints are in order.

Now, before you call the family counselor to help us out, we don’t allow our son to eat mints as a full-on meal. I just think that it’s insane/funny that he thinks that this is a good enough idea to attempt to convince his ma and pa, that it would be good for dinner.

Oh well, I guess that’s what 6 year olds do.
