An here ends our tale of the Furnace Goblins, at least for a little while. Don’t worry, they’ll probably be back since I do like masters Horst and Grist.
Here is a photo of a real Furnace Goblin that I captured in our house a while back:
Okay, I hope you’re ready for Halloweens.

I am constructing a very dense steam driven vehicle. I am waiting for more LEAD from China before I can complete it. Most of it was built using Merry Go Round and Tilt-O-Whirl parts with two Hurdy Gurdy engines and the transmission is from a caliope! Keeping it balanced on 2 wheels is a bit of a challenge, but all the spinning causes a self correcting gyroscope effect. Can I send you a picture when I am done? Too bad you cant hear it!
My LEAD showed up at my door today, so after bringing it to a boil and filling all the welds. She flies. There is still a slight wobble as the gyroscope Tilt O Whirl cab became off center after the carrousel espresso machine was installed. There is nothing like the gentle grind of the sub sonic waves created by the dual hurdy gurdy engines. I had to reverse mount the caliope transmission for pressure stability.
FYI, the helmet spike doubles as the chimney
