I am a fan of the funnies. Dead and Breakfast is a must if you like that sort of thing. It has singing and rapping what more can you ask of a zombie?!

You have to go back to the original Dawn of the Dead if the survival element is your thing, it's one of those few zombie movies where the nuances of the survival element are worked out.

For survival elements, I'd have to say you find that best in books like Walking Dead and World War Z

Planet Terror is a good ridiculously violent zombie movie. Then again, what else could I expect from Robert Rodriguez and his good buddy Quentin Tarantino? :)
A good friend of mine also recommended Dead Snow, but I haven't watched it yet since its still on the save list on Netflix. :/

Btw, the strip is really cute today, I was rolling on the floor with giggle fits xD

If you like zombie comedies like Shawn of the Dead, you have to go get "Dead Alive" and "Return of the Living Dead" right now. If you are looking for atmosphere, try the black and white creepfest "Carnival of souls"

Of course, the original Night, Dawn and Day of the Dead are required zombie viewing.

And if you REALLY want to go deep into strange zombie waters, go rent some of the truly bizarre Italian zombie flicks like Fulchi's "Zombie 2" which features a zombie vs. shark scene or "Grapes of Death" where two young girls take a train into a town that has turned due to the local wine being poisoned.

If you wanna go campy, i'd say see Dead and Breakfast. A group of young people get stuck in a small town and inadvertently cause a zombie uprising. Complete with a singing zombie band doing the story narration.

I completely agree with the Fido recommendation.

Die, yu Zombie Bastards is good.
Zombie Prom is a can't miss short film. Completely campy and void of gore, it's a musical set in the 50's where the protagonist is a teenage zombie, trying to take his girl to the prom.
Resident Evil 1&2 (avoid 3 at all costs, if you value your immortal soul)

My favorite part in Shawn of the Dead is when they find a parallel group of people. It is the noir humor more than the gore. Stuff like Dexter, Weeds or the United States of Tara are just so dark I want to hit myself for laughing!

* Hey Beastio! I think that is a jab at your lack of BRAINZUH..... doy!

Ahh zombies, no comic is complete without them. Pretty good movie choices, I guess I can say my zombie favorites are shallow too since 28 days later is my fav.

FIDO--A boy and his Zombie.
1950s style zombie fun.

Also, I think this comic could use an antagonist...Think Dick Dastardly, Muttley, and the Wacky Races. ---you get it.
